CREATIVE dIRECTOR

Dave is an award-winning advertising creative director with over 20 years of experience. As creative director, Dave has overseen the creative output of brands including MINI (across two agencies) Samsung, PayPal, National Army Museum, RSBC, Barclays, and Peroni.

He has worked at some of London’s best agencies including Engine, Leagas Delaney, Atomic London, CP+B, DDB London, Profero, Iris, and Cheil.

Dave is a media-neutral creative who believes that the idea is everything and should work in any media, but then be shaped to fit the right media. Having worked as CD in ATL and digital agencies, he’s adept at creating engaging storytelling in any medium and has a proven track record in delivering integrated campaigns across multiple touch points.

Dave has a passion for creating work that populates culture rather than just ticking boxes of a media spreadsheet.

Examples include creating a Match Attax card for deceased QPR footballer Kiyan Prince, who lost his life to knife crime. The card raised money for his foundation, which educates children about the dangers of knife crime.

His 16ft ‘London’s Lungs’ installation for E.ON, highlighting London’s air quality was featured on ITV and BBC news.

With zero media spend behind it, Dave created the 12th most viewed Ice Bucket Challenge for Samsung and the Motor Neurone Disease.

Dave designed and manufactured a range of football scarves protesting Half & Half Scarves, that were exhibited at The Design Museum’s ‘Football: Designing the Beautiful Game’ exhibition. They also featured in the Telegraph, The Independent, Shortlist magazine, and on BBC5 Live.

Dave has worked on some great accounts where his creativity aligned with strong strategic thinking has seen him win awards in every media category including PR, Media, Press, Posters, Radio, Digital, Viral, Social, DM, TV, and Installations.

His work has won 7 D&AD pencils and the Grand Prix at Cannes Lions, The Internationalists Awards NYC, COOH Awards, BIMA (twice) Fresh and Fresh Digital Awards.

Dave is a natural presenter with excellent communication skills both internally and externally. He is well experienced in navigating multiple stakeholders. He takes pride in building strong client relationships and believes it is the key to getting to great work. A good example was when MINI consolidated their account into IRIS and Dave was moved over to run it at the clients’ request.
