Dave is an award-winning advertising creative director with over 25 years’ experience. He has worked at some of London’s best agencies including FCB, House 337 (Formerly Engine), Leagas Delaney, Atomic London, CP+B London, DDB London, Profero, Iris and Cheil.
Dave is a media neutral creative who believes that the idea is everything and should work in any media, but then be shaped to fit the right media.
Having worked as CD in both ATL and digital agencies, he is highly skilled at creating engaging brand storytelling in any medium, with a strong track record in delivering integrated campaigns across multiple touch points.
Dave has a passion for creating work that populates culture. Examples include:
A Match Attax card for deceased QPR footballer Kiyan Prince, who lost his life to knife crime. The card raised money for his Foundation, which educates kids about the dangers of knife crime.
His 16ft ‘London’s Lungs’ installation for E.ON, highlighting London’s air quality, featured on ITV and BBC news.
With zero media spend behind it, Dave created the 12th most viewed Ice Bucket Challenge for Samsung and the Motor Neurone Disease.
His ‘Kill the tradition not the turkey’ was debated on two TV channels earning the brand over 30 mins of free air time.
Dave also designed and manufactured a range of football scarves protesting Half & Half Scarves, which were exhibited at The Design Museum along with featuring in the Telegraph, The Independent, Shortlist magazine and on BBC5 Live.
Dave has worked on some great accounts where his creativity aligned with strong strategic thinking has seen him win awards in every category including PR, Media, Press, Posters, Radio, Digital, Viral, Social, Direct Mail, TV, and installations.
His work has won 7 D&AD pencils and multiple Grand Prix a shows including Cannes Lions, The Internationalists Awards NYC, COOH Awards, BIMA (twice) Fresh, and Fresh digital Awards.
Dave is a natural presenter with excellent communication skills both internally and externally. He is well experienced in navigating multiple stakeholders. He takes pride in his ability to create strong relationships with clients and firmly believes it is the key to getting to great work. A good example of this was when MINI consolidated their account into IRIS and Dave was moved over to run it at the clients’ request.
